What is Patrolo?
Patrolo is a website monitoring service that features automated data gathering and analysis, together with website checks carried out by people. By combining an automated + human approach Patrolo uncovers and reports website faults, issues and problems that are of importance to our customers.
How does Patrolo work?
Our programming code, software and services gathers user behaviour and usage data from our customer's website(s). Processing this data enables our systems to spot potential faults, issues and problems on our customer's website(s) which are subsequently checked and inspected by a real human being (we call these people our Patrolo Heroes). If an issue is discovered and verified, it is raised on our systems and our customer is notified, according to their notification preferences.
Information We Collect
We may collect personally identifiable information about you through our Site and/or Service when you register for an account. This includes (but is not limited to) your name, telephone number and email address. If you choose to subscribe to any of our services, we and/or our third-party payment processors will also collect your address for the purposes of payment.
Information Collected Automatically
This is information which is automatically collected via our systems and code, without your knowledge, whilst navigating through and interacting with the content on our site, as well as information on your device or computer (such as cookies).
The sole purpose of passively collecting your information in this way is to improve your experience when using our customer's websites and services.

Access to information stored at Patrolo
The information we collect is accessible by users designated on your Patrolo account and by our Patrolo Heroes. It may also be accessible by our web hosting companies in certain limited circumstances. Other than explained in this section, we do not rent, sell or disclose your personal information to third parties, for their own use.

How we secure Patrolo data
We have implemented various measures to ensure that your information is adequately protected against unauthorised access, use, disclosure and destruction. Please keep in mind that risk can never be eliminated but can be significantly reduced. All measures which we have taken significantly reduce the risk. We will not be held liable by any third party in the event of unauthorized access, use and/or disclosure of information.
- Access to the information stored within our servers is restricted to a limited number of Patrolo employees and to users designated on our customer's accounts. Our web host can access the information only in specific and limited circumstances. Our employees, our clients and these third parties are bound by confidentiality.
- Our servers are protected by a) firewalls establishing a barrier between our trusted, secure internal network and the internet and b) IP restrictions, limiting access to whitelisted IPs.
- Each of our customers may only access information pertaining to them, via securely authenticated means.
- We use SSL (HTTPS) for our site pages and services providing secure transfer of data to prevent wiretapping and man-in-the-middle attacks.
